The study examined awareness and use of open access publishing platforms by faculty members of Imo State University, Owerri (IMSU), Nigeria. The study adopted the descriptive survey design. Findings of the study revealed acceptable level of awareness and usage of open access publishing platforms by faculty members of Imo State University, Owerri; possession of skills and knowledge of access and usage of open access platforms; factors facilitate the use of open access platforms by the faculty members; confidence and willingness amongst faculty members in using open access platforms; reasons for failure to use open access platform by lecturer of the university.
