Could the ‘analytic' approach take greater roots in the traditions of African Philosophy? In this contribution, I give an affirmative answer to the question. However, I also argue that the process requires a ‘political will', as it involves a clear acknowledgement of the historical impetus animating the very idea—and contemporary institutional existences—of African philosophy
