Isolated Splenic abscess is rare, with less than 400 cases reported from the beginning of the century until 1986.. Rarer still, is Splenic abscess occurring in siblings, only one case of hepatosplenic infections occurring in two siblings has been reported in the English Literature. We report two siblings, who presented with clinical features of splenic abscess confirmed by ultrasonography within a period of 8 months from each other. One had splenectomy and the other was treated conservatively with antibiotics and percutaneous aspiration.
