LA RECHERCHE-INTERVENTION : UNE REPONSE AU BESOIN D'EVIDENCE-BASED MANAGEMENT EN CONTROLE DE GESTION ?

International audienceBuilding theories from practices is a popular question in management, and especially in management control. Evidence-Based Management (EBM), which means building theories from the rigorous observation of facts to foster the quality of managerial decision making process, gives a new highlight to this question. In a context of worldwide crisis which may ask for more rigorous and evidence-based management control methods, the concept of EBM is of a very big interest. Thus, the problematic of the paper is focused on the study of an EBM methodology adapted to management control. To raise this issue, the paper advocates the idea that intervention-research could be an EBM model well tailored for management control.L'élaboration de théories à partir des pratiques est ancienne en gestion, et singulièrement en contrôle de gestion. Cette question trouve aujourd'hui un nouvel écho avec le concept d'Evidence-Based Management (EBM) qui signifie l'élaboration de connaissances théoriques à partir d'une observation rigoureuse des faits, utiles pour améliorer l'efficacité et l'efficience des décisions managériales. L'étude de ce concept est riche d'enjeux pour le contrôle de gestion dans un contexte de crise mondiale qui semble demander des méthodes de contrôle plus rigoureusement fondées sur les faits. Dans ce cadre, la problématique étudiée porte sur la recherche d'un modèle d'EBM en contrôle de gestion.
