The interaction of the Electrical and mechanical parts of Electrical machines gives rise to the heating of the machine's constituent parts. This consequently leads to an increase in temperature which if not properly monitored may lead to the breakdown of the machine. This paper therefore presents the Electrical and thermal coupling of induction machine in order to study its mechanical and electrical transient behaviours at run-up condition. The analysis of the coupled system is represented in state variable form with currents and temperatures of the machine parts as its variables.
