A study was was carried out in order to contribute in the search of strategy of controlling Bemisia tabaci (Gennadius) devastator and responsible of the propagation and symptom severity Cassava mosaic disease (CMD) in cassava fields in Togo. In fact, it is the two combined actions of the whiteflies (B tabaci), waste on the development of cassava plants and transmission of Begomovirus that represent the major problem in cassava production zones in Togo. To achieve this objective, two insecticides, one acting by contact, Dursban (Chlorpirifos-Ethyl) and the other, systemic, Diméthoate were used with specific treatments at two sites (Bagbe and Davié-Tekpo).
