Introduction: A frequent ailment in ENT, the epistaxis is an emergency that can put the vital prognosis at stake. An adequate follow up care deserves some knowledge of etiology. Objectives: Study the epidemiological and etiological aspects of the epistaxis.Methodology: A retrospective and descriptive study conducted on 250 epistaxis cases over a period of 12 years in the ENT Department at the CHU de Lomé.Results: The epistaxis occurs with predilection during the months of December-January and August. The average age was 26.9 years (1 to 70 years). The sex-ratio was 1.5. The epistaxis was benign in 81.2%cases and serious in 18.8% cases.
