The oesophageal foreign bodies are frequent with children. Our objective is to evaluate their coverage in our practice and to compare it with the facts of literature. The retrospective study of 128 cases admitted to our Department from 1988 to 1997. 128 cases were noted down out of 12307 dossiers counted that is a prevalence of 1.04%. We remarked a male predominance (sex-ratio : 1.9). The ingestion was essentially accidental (88.28%). The diagnosis was given on the paraclinical elements, particularly the X-ray and in some cases the oesophagoscopy.
