Purpose: To develop a reverse phase high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method for the determination of eurycomanone in E. longifolia Jack (Simaroubaceae) aqueous root extract and their commercial products.Methods: Analysis was carried out using reverse phase HPLC at 254 nm and a gradient mobile phase that comprised of acetonitrile and 0.1 % formic acid. Flow rate was 1 ml/min and separation was done using Phenomenex, Luna C18 column (150 mm x 4.6 mm, 5 μm).
