OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study is to appraise the major diseases of the fallopian tubes and causes of damage in this environment MATERIALS AND METHODS: A retrospective study of a 4-year review of consecutive fallopian tube specimens received at the Department of Morbid Anatomy of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja, Lagos, conducted between 1st of May, 2001 and 31st July, 2005. . RESULTS: Over the study period, a total of 237 fallopian tubes were studied.
