Objective: To highlight the possible complication of hydrocephalus, when neurosurgical attention is not easily accessible and affordable. Materials and Methods: A three year old Nigerian female child with congenital hydrocephalus Results: The head of a three year old Nigerian female child with congenital hydrocephalus collapsed following a leak of 6.8 litres of cerebrospinal fluid through an ulcer in the head. Conclusion: This complication could be avoided if early identification and appropriate referral is matched with accessible and affordable neurological services in the country.
