This short report describes the findings from an HIV/AIDS programme for young women that was held in two Nigerian cities. Very little information is available on interventions that address the needs of young Nigerian women; a population that represents a high incidence and prevalence of HIV and AIDS. Responses were elicited from the programme participants through the use of pre-and post-test questionnaires, with a view to identifying effective health education strategies for the prevention of sexually transmitted infections including HIV/AIDS among young Nigerian women.
