Background: Antiretroviral therapy (ART) has decreased HIV-related morbidity and mortality and increased life expectancy of people living with HIV (PLHIV). Globally, the number of older PLHIV (OPLHIV; ≥50 years) is growing and predicted to increase substantially in coming years.
