A descriptive, correlational study was conducted to: describe the channels through which rural women obtain information regarding technology, and factors promoting access of women to technology; determine the contribution of technology to socio-economic development; and describe the relationships among factors promoting access to technology and among benefits accruing from such access. A validated and field tested interview schedule was used in data collection. The radio, agricultural extension officers, friends and neighbours were identified as important channels for information regarding technology for rural women.
