Topic: Nicotine Prevention in Primary Care Abstract Purpose: The purpose of this article is to increase awareness about the different techniques of smoking and to discuss the prevention of cigarette smoking in adults by using earlier interventions. Method: A PubMed literature search was conducted with search terms of smoking, hookah, and electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) in adults. There were fourteen pertinent articles retrieved and they served as the basis for this clinical review. Results: It is not possible to predict which patient is a nicotine user.
