This paper examines the impact of privatisation on workers’ compensation in privatised state-owned enterprises in Bangladesh. The study employs five case studies using a qualitative approach. Studying multiple cases is considered more reliable as it permits replication and extension. The qualitative approach helps to build a holistic picture, which allows for the assembling of a comprehensive and complete report of the issues under investigation. The research finds that workers’ compensations in most privatised case study organisations are less than their counterparts in comparable state-owned and privately-owned organisations.
