Recent findings regarding CLI use among students learning English as a Foreign Language (EFL) seem to agree with a correlation between proficiency and a lesser use of cross linguistic influence (CLI). However, the body of research specifically comparing children and adult learners’ CLI within the same study is extremely scant. This study aims to shed light on the different types of CLI in the oral production of children and adult learners of English.
