A constant pressure system with discrete pressure potentials is investigated for efficient actuation of hydraulic cylinders. These pressure potentials are created using an intermediate pressure line. Two switch valves can combine high- intermediate- and tank pressure in order to enable multiple pressure potentials at the controlling porportional valve
