This research project aimed to examine the links between SEND and self-esteem. Three teaching staff were interviewed and five children were observed, with field notes recorded. The research displayed the value of teacher-child relationships in creating positive self-esteem in children. Further evidence suggested the importance of social acceptance in the development of self-esteem in children with ASD, Dyslexia and SLCN. The research signifies the importance of the teacher’s ability to know the learning motivators of individual children
