Presented at COMO XXI, Athens, Georgia, October 17, 2008.This panel discussion will address the broader changes taking place in the scholarly communication system, some local responses to these changes, and the benefits and opportunities for institutions to increase the use and impact of their scholars' research through institutional repositories (IRs). Georgia Tech will provide an overview of the statewide GALILEO Knowledge Repository (GKR) program, and discuss their combined scholarly communication and repository and publishing services program.
