The mechanism is proposed that is clarified the cell pigment content dependence of the light intensity in plants. The basis for this mechanism is the concept of two processes, which determine pigment concentration in cell: synthesis and destruction of pigments under exposure to light. The mathematical model describing pigment content in cells having regard to photodestruction is worked out.
