Master's thesis in Business administration (BE501)This thesis studies the reasoning of crowdinvestors when they invest in equity crowdfunding campaigns. The focus is placed on the Norwegian crowd investors who invest through a Norwegian equity crowdfunding platform, FolkeInvest. The research starts by understanding the crowdfunding market, the types of crowd investors, and criteria of investment presented by literature of crowd investors and business angels. The literature presents a lack in crowd investors’ perspective on their investment criteria, which this thesis can reveal
