Trabalho e saúde mental dos profissionais do SUS: desafios e oportunidades

Work plays a structuring role in the living conditions of an individual and society, decisively influencing the health-disease process of the subjects. In this sense, the This study sought to carry out a narrative review on the theme of workers' health. under the mental health focus of health professionals from the Unified Health System (SUS). In order to identify the theoretical framework of the study in the national literature, a search in the SCiELO database and the Virtual Health Library. search strategies: Worker's health AND mental health AND health professionals and worker's health AND mental health. At the end of the survey, twenty were selected and eight studies, where they were systematized into analysis categories according to content relevant emerging in each of the studies. Of these, seven were about strategies for coping, five on absence from work for reasons of mental health, nineteen on elements of the organization of work and two on the organization of the health services of the worker. Given these results, it was possible to recognize the effects of the elements of organization of work for suffering and mental illness in the work of professionals health, in addition to identifying the need of these professionals to adopt strategies for coping to deal with work contexts that are a source of mental suffering. The studies addressed in the category absence from work for mental health reasons add up important initiative in the direction of pointing to the illness profile of these professionals. On the other hand, the studies organized in the category organization of worker's health services, to at the same time that they constitute an important material that still present the challenges. found to carry out worker health actions from the perspective of mental health, it also reveals itself as an opportunity to strengthen mental health actions in the worker.O trabalho assume um papel estruturante das condições de vida de um indivíduo e sociedade, influindo de modo determinante no processo saúde-doença dos sujeitos. Neste sentido, o presente estudo buscou realizar uma revisão narrativa sobre a temática saúde do trabalhador sob o enfoque da saúde mental dos profissionais da saúde do Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS). Com o intuito de identificar na literatura nacional o referencial teórico de estudo, foi feita uma busca na base de dados SCiELO e Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde. Para tal foram utilizadas duas estratégias de busca: Saúde do trabalhador AND saúde mental AND profissionais de saúde e saúde do trabalhador AND saúde mental. Ao final do levantamento, foram selecionados vinte e oito estudos, onde foram sistematizados em categorias de análise conforme conteúdo relevante emergente em cada um dos estudos. Destes, sete versaram sobre estratégias de enfrentamento, cinco sobre afastamento do trabalho por motivo de saúde mental, dezenove sobre elementos da organização do trabalho e dois sobre organização dos serviços de saúde do trabalhador. Diante destes resultados, foi possível reconhecer os efeitos dos elementos da organização do trabalho para o sofrimento e adoecimento mental no trabalho dos profissionais da saúde, além de, identificar a necessidade destes profissionais em adotar estratégias de enfrentamento para lidar com contextos de trabalho fonte de sofrimento mental. Os estudos abordados na categoria afastamento do trabalho por motivo de saúde mental somam importante iniciativa na direção de apontar para o perfil de adoecimento destes profissionais. Já, os estudos organizados na categoria organização dos serviços de saúde do trabalhador, ao mesmo tempo que se constituem como importante material que apresentam os desafios ainda encontrados para realizar ações de saúde do trabalhador sob o enfoque da saúde mental, também se revela como uma oportunidade para o fortalecimento de ações de saúde mental do trabalhador
