Aidiyet ve Sınır Kavramlarının Sanattaki Yansımaları

The concept of belonging defines who the individual is. Belonging, which means relation, plays an essential role in express oneself and finding a place in society. Spatial belonging must be regulated to form individual belonging. In the relationship between the individual and the place, the personal components of the place create the identity of the place. Throughout history, people have had to leave where they are for many reasons. The effect of this separation on the need for belonging and space is visibly significant. It is possible to see the effects of social hierarchy in the modern age. All over the world, hierarchy, which is a form of classification, aims to provide order and harmony in society. The hierarchical structure, which takes the responsibilities of the members of the society and creates harmony, has been corrupted today; It has led to the damage of concepts such as borders, immigration, refugee, identity, and belonging. The border is the distinction that determines the geographical endpoints of the two countries. The importance of physical boundaries hindered the development of a sense of belonging when it overcame human feelings. In the thesis, how physical borders affect human states, what belonging is, how migration and nomadism are handled by artists in the modern age are examined. In the thesis study, what the artists did at this point was investigated through the concept of border. As a result of the inquiries made on the concept of belonging, both applied and literary studies on the boundaries were examined. İlişkinlik anlamına gelen aidiyet, kişinin kendini ifade etmesinde, toplumda yer bulmasında önemli rol oynamaktadır. Bireysel aidiyetin oluşması için mekansal aidiyetin düzenlenmiş olması gerekmektedir. Birey ve mekan ilişkisinde, mekanın kişiye ait birleşenlerinin olması, yer kimliğini oluşturur. İnsanlar tarih boyunca birçok nedenden dolayı bulundukları yerden ayrılmak durumunda kalmışlardır. Bu ayrılma durumunun aidiyet ve mekân ihtiyacı üzerindeki etkisi/sonuçları gözle görülür boyutta önemlidir. Toplumsal hiyerarşinin etkilerini modern çağda görmek mümkündür. Tüm dünyada, bir sınıflandırılma biçimi olan hiyerarşi, toplumda bir düzen ve uyum sağlama amacındadır. Toplumdaki üyelerin sorumluluklarını alan ve bir uyum oluşturan hiyerarşik yapı, günümüzde bozulmalar yaşamış; sınırlar, göç, mültecilik, kimlik ve aidiyet gibi kavramların zedelenmesine yol açmıştır. Sınır, iki ülkenin coğrafi bitiş noktalarını belirleyen ayrımdır. Fiziki sınırların önemi, insani duyguların önüne geçtiğinde, aidiyet duygusunun gelişimini engellemiştir. Tez içerisinde modern çağda fiziki sınırların, insan hallerini nasıl etkilediğini, aidiyetin ne olduğunu, göç ve göçebelik hallerinin sanatçılar tarafından nasıl ele alındığı incelenmiştir. Tez çalışmasında sınır kavramı üzerinden, sanatçıların bu noktada neler yaptıkları araştırılmıştır. Aidiyet kavramının üzerine yapılan sorgulamalar sonucunda, sınırların ne olduğu üzerine hem uygulamalı hem yazınsal araştırmalar incelenmiştir
