This study was intended to understand the oppressions and oppresion-related life experiences of people with visual impairments in the context of intersectionality. The research focuses on the intersections between the concepts of ‘disability’ and ‘gender’, ‘age’, ‘sexual orientation/gender identity’, ‘religion/belief’ and ‘ethnic origin’ through the theoretical principles of anti-oppressive practice that is based on the values of equality and social justice. The study was carried out with a qualitative research method. Semi-structured in-depth interviews were conducted with 23 people with visual impairments.
