NezPerce &Idaho Engine no. 4 being prepared for movement to Nez Perce for the first time. In 1928 the 684 was sent to Livingston to be scrapped but at about that ime the NP&I needed another engine and bought the 681. It was reconditioned in the Livingston shop, largest on the Northern Pacific
