The purpose of this article is to present the linguistic symptoms of the changes in contemporary Polish identity discourse with regard to important subjects of the Polish collective memory and the post-World War II history. The latter considers the discussion of the Polish independence military underground after the war. The article looks into the reasons for, and origins of, the appearance of new terminology in everyday language as well as in the language of official documents and works in art and science
