L'implication des familles ruro-montagnardes du Haut Atlas oriental marocain dans la scolarisation de leurs enfants

International audienceThis research on "Elementary schooling in the Moroccan High Atlas East", aims to provide an "updated" knowledge of the schooling of rural-mountain children and the involvement of their families by targeting the ways in which families in these regions manage to maintain relations with the school, whether as part of the involvement mechanisms (G. Monceau) or in the framework of weakly established procedures. To better understand the process of schooling and involvement of rural families, it is necessary to take into account the cultural specificity of the rural population, the mode of socialization, the nature of daily activities, the rural school and the cultural level of the rural population to situate the child in his family, institutional and environmental context. This study mainly analyzes the interactions between the families and the school in order to grasp the positioning and the mutual perception of these actors (families, teachers) which also allows to appreciate the knowledge which the families have of the school system, the different mechanisms and structures of involvement and how they engage.Cette recherche sur « La scolarisation au primaire en Haut Atlas oriental marocain », a pour objectif d’offrir une connaissance « actualisée » de la scolarisation des enfants ruro-montagnards et l’implication de leurs familles en visant les manières dont les familles de ces régions parviennent à entretenir des relations avec l’école, que ce soit dans le cadre des dispositifs d’implication (G. Monceau) ou dans le cadre de procédures faiblement instituées. Pour mieux comprendre le processus de scolarisation et implication des familles rurales, il est nécessaire de prendre en compte la spécificité culturelle de la population de la campagne, le mode de socialisation, la nature des activités quotidiennes, l’école rurale et le niveau culturel des familles afin de bien situer l’enfant dans son contexte familial, institutionnel et environnemental. Cette étude analyse principalement les interactions entre les familles et l’école afin de saisir le positionnement et la perception mutuelle de ces acteurs (familles, enseignants) ce qui permet aussi d’apprécier la connaissance qu’ont les familles du système scolaire, des différents dispositifs et structures d’implication et la manière dont elles s’engagent
