Efikasna inkluzivna škola

Inclusion isn't strategy that helps people to fit into existing social systems and structures - it is the transformation of the system and structure that creates better conditions for all. Inclusive school meets the needs of all students, including children with disabilities. However, it should be noted that only the physical presence of children with disabilities in regular schools will not automatically lead to social interaction and acceptance by typical peers, unless there is direct contact and interaction condition. Strategies that have proven effective in working with students with disabilities are integrated approach to teaching content, instructions that allow for different learning styles, assessment that should be integrally linked with learning and teaching, periodic assessment of progress of pupils and use this information to adjust the curriculum and instruction, adapting instruction (content, evaluative criteria, the environment, materials and instruction), needs of students, curriculum that emphasizes care and respect for diversity, cooperative relations that promote the values of learning and support, while not increasing the academic achievements of students, linking instruction with real situations, peer tutoring, graphic organizers, computer classes, direct and explicit instructions, concrete, a representative summary, guidelines for mathematics, differentiated instruction, and the use of manipulative and hands-on techniques.Ovim radom želimo da ukažemo da inkluzija nije strategija koja pomaže ljudima da se uklope u postojeće društvene sisteme i strukture - to je transformacija tih sistema i struktura koja stvara bolje uslove za sve. Inkluzivna škola treba da zadovoljava potrebe svih učenika, pa i dece s teškoćama u razvoju. Međutim, treba napomenuti da samo fizičko prisustvo dece s teškoćama u razvoju u redovne škole neće automatski dovesti do socijalnih interakcija i prihvatanje od strane tipičnih vršnjaka, osim ako ne postoji direktan kontakt i uslovi za interakcije. Strategije koje su se pokazale efikasnim u radu sa učenicima s teškoćama u razvoju su: integrisani pristup nastavnim sadržajima, instrukcije koje omogućavaju različite načine učenja, procena koja treba da bude integralno povezana sa učenjem i nastavom, periodična procena napretka učenika i korišćenje ovih informacija da bi se prilagodili nastavni plan i program i nastava, prilagođavanje nastave (sadržaja, evaluativnih kriterijuma, životne sredine, materijala i instrukcija) potrebama učenika, nastavni plan i program koji ističe brigu i poštovanje različitosti, saradnički odnosi koji promovišu vrednosti učenja i pomoći, dok se ne poveća akademski uspeh učenika, povezivanje instrukcija sa realnim situacijama, podučavanje vršnjaka, grafički organizatori, računarska nastava, direktna i eksplicitna uputstva, konkretan, reprezentativan sažetak, uputstva za matematiku, diferencirane instrukcije, i upotreba manipulativnih i 'hands-on' tehnika
