The study of helminth parasites of cetaceans from distinct areas helps to identify ecological differences among groups. This study reports the helminth fauna present in the intestinal tract of Pontoporia blainvillei (n=28) and Sotalia guianensis (n=21) found dead on beaches along the north coast of Santa Catarina and the differences in intensity levels and infection prevalence among individuals from the inner region of Babitonga Bay in comparison with those collected in the adjacent coastal region.
