Les effets de la chaleur ont été étudiés sur la fonctionnalité mitochondriale de fibres perméabilisées de soleus de rat, dans deux situations différentes. Nous avons comparé une exposition aiguë à deux températures, 35 et 40°C, pour l’oxydation du pyruvate et du palmitoyl-CoA. La chaleur a entraîné une diminution du couplage de la phosphorylation oxydative spécifique pour l’acide gras, médiée par la protéine découplante UCP3, indépendamment d’un stress oxydatif ou d’une altération structurelle. Ainsi, l’utilisation préférentielle des glucides à la chaleur pourrait être au moins en partie due à une altération de l’oxydation des lipides.
