Blinking has been reported as a marker of ocular surface homeostasis change in adult patients, especially during digital device use. Measurement of blinking in “real-time”, outside of the laboratory setting has been difficult. This study measured blink parameters (blink rate, interblink interval) in children in situ using a novel spectacle mounted eye tracking headset and examined relationships with ocular surface, tear film indices and digital device use. The spectacle mounted headset was validated against manual counting method. The data set (Excel spreadsheet) contains the descriptive variables, ocular surface and tear film variables, and blink parameters values of 45 study participants aged 6-15 years old
