Introduction: Idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) is associated with abnormalities in cytoskeletal proteins, mitochondrial ATP transporter, microvasculature, and fibrosis. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) can ameliorate distressed mitochondrial and structural proteins, as well as fibrosis, via the paracrine effect of cytokines.
