Persistence and Spatial Transformations of Traditional Joglo House According to Hamemayu Hayuning Bawana

The purpose of the paper is to explain the conceptual persistence of the spatial transformation of the Joglo nDalem Puspodiningratan seen from Hamemayu Hayuning Bawana's concept. Conceptually, Hamemayu Hayuning Bawana in public wisdom aims to maintain a harmonious relationship between humans and each other, nature and God. This philosophy is applied in various dimensions of Javanese life, one of which is in architecture. Javanese architecture is meaningfully designed, and Hamemayu Hayuning Bawana plays an important role in the traditional Joglo house's spatial configuration. nDalem Puspodiningratan is a traditional Joglo house whose condition is well maintained and undergoes a spatial transformation because alternating families inhabit it. The methods used are visual observation and documentation, literature review and interviews to explore the joglo transformation data and the changes' background. The result: Joglo nDalem Puspodiningratan persisted in preserving Hamemayu Hayuning Bawana's philosophical principles, despite spatial transformations. Research on the transformation of traditional building types needs to be continued in other cases among traditional Javanese architecture, showing the existence of spatial transformation and conceptual persistence related to Hamemayu Hayuning Bawana's philosophy
