The features of the teachers’ burnout syndrome that depends on their place of work are compared. The organizational factor is considered to be the reason that contributes to the formation of this phenomenon. It is stated that secondary education teachers are more susceptible to the development of emotional burnout in comparison with higher education teachers who have the same work experience. Secondary education teachers are characterized by the formation of a phase of resistance which is clearly revealed through an inadequate emotional response to problems that arise in their professional activity.
