A novel simplified functional impression making for prosthetic ocular rehabilitation

Successful prosthetic rehabilitation of an ocular defect can be achieved by recording the remaining orbital anatomic structure using a functional impression technique. This clinical report discusses the ocular impression making procedure in a subject with a history of failed ocular implant in eviscerated eye. The problem encountered while making a static ocular impression is a nonfunctional recording of associated musculature, making ocular prosthesis unstable.
