Objective To investigate the risk factors for early postoperative adverse events (EPAE) after endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR). Methods A total of 2 193 cases of aortic aneurysm treated in Changhai Hospitaly from 1997 to 2014 were analyzed retrospectively. The perioperative hematological variables in relation to EPAE after EVAR were analyzed. Results The rate of EPAE was 20.8%. Multivariate analysis showed postoperative white cell count (OR=1.24, 95% CI: 1.06-1.16, P=0.08), hemoglobin level (OR=0.87, 95%CI: 0.83-0.92, P < 0.01), and platelet level (OR=0.99, 95% CI: 0.98-1.00, P=0.029) to be independent factors associated with the EPAE. Conclusion Increased white cell count and decreased hemoglobin and platelet levels are independent risk...
