Box 34: Studio Negatives, 1950-1958

Photograph of a bride, Glenella Scarborough, and two of her bridesmaids smiling down at her wedding ring. Glenella sits in the middle of her bridesmaids on a patterned couch. She wears a wedding dress with a satin bodice and sleeves, lace trim, and a lace ruffle separating the satin of the bodice from the pleated tulle of the skirt. Her sheer veil is secured to a large white headband. Both bridesmaids wear light colored midi dresses with lace overlays. The dresses also have tulle necklines and puffy tulle sleeves. The tulle continues to the bridesmaids' heads in the form of large, ruffled headbands, and it is mixed in with the flowers in their matching bouquets. The bridesmaid to the right of the picture is standing as she looks down with a smile at the bride's hand, while the other sits to the left of the picture, on the other side of the bride. All three women sport smiles, the bride's being the biggest. Flanking the couch they are seated on are two, bi-level end tables in the curvy art deco-inspired style. The table to the left holds a decorative bowl and an ashtray while the one on the right holds miscellaneous items as well as another ashtray. Both tables hold trophy-shaped lamps with satin shades. The wall behind the couch sports a gallery-style display of framed painting and pictures of which most are landscapes.
