The use of code-switching, a very common linguistic phenomenal in bi-plurilingual settings has dominated debates about the acquisition of foreign languages. Lately, many experts are considering code-switching as a pedagogical asset that offers several mutual advantages in the French as foreign language classroom as both the teacher and the students benefit from its use at the same time. However, a consensus about its use in the foreign language classroom has not been reached yet.
