Abū Ḥāmid al-Isfarāyīnī

Abū Ḥāmid al-Isfarāyīnī Aḥmad b. a. Ṭāhir M. b. Aḥmad al-Shāfi'ī, also also called Ibn a. Ṭāhir, or al-Shaykh Abū Ḥāmid, was born in Isfarāyīn, in 344/inc. 27th April 955 (d.19th Shawwāl 406/31 March 1016, in Baghdad). He is considered, sometimes in concurrence with Abū l-Ṯayyib al-Ṣu'lūkī, as one of the scholars who are supposed to be sent at the beginning of each century to renew Islam (mujaddid). He has established the Baghdadian Shāfi'i doctrine/method while Abū Bakr al-Ḳaffāl al-Shāshī established the Khurasanian one
