She had 2 brothers, Louis and Meyer, and three sisters, Emilie, Bertha, and Ida. She received and completed a high school education in Posen, supplemented by extra-curricula instruction in literature. Upon her father's early death when she was 12, she helped in the store, then run by her brother Louis. She moved from Bromberg to Berlin in her later life. She got married in 1862 (first name of her husband was never mentioned), gave birth to 9 children, and was widowed in 1901. After that she devoted her life to the welfare of children and grandchildren. She died on October 24, 1920, in Berlin.Posen--Jews--Histor
