Programme et résumés, page 131In the southern French Massif Central and on its southeastern border but at different altitudes, open-air sites, rock-shelters and caves have yielded isolated artefacts or abundant series dating from MIS9 at least to MIS3 with Lower Palaeolithic (Acheulean bifacial production) and Middle Paleolithic diverse evidences. From the upstream part of the gorges of the Allier and Loire Rivers to the Chassezac and Ardèche Rivers, surveys, excavations and detailed analysis of the material from the sites offer data on subsistence behaviours (raw material acquisition, lithic reduction sequences, hunted species and carcass treatment...) which leads to a discussion of human groups mobility, territory size, duration of site o...
