Leon Agriss papers undated, 1938-1953

The collection consists of correspondence, newsletters, and minutes of meetings of various Zionist groups in which Agriss was active. The correspondence deals with the Jewish National Fund in Harrisburg, Penn., relations between Masada and Avukah, and with Hashomer Hatzair, as well as Agriss' involvement with Kibbutz Aliyah and Plugat Aliyah, a group dedicated to settlement in PalestineAlso included is Agriss' correspondence from Palestine/Israel regarding conditions immediately preceeding and following independence in 1948, instructions for future immigrants, and attempts to form a chapter of the American Veterans Committee.
