Photo shows interesting Jewish service in a jungle chapel at this base, at which Protestant Chaplain David Bowles, Fayetteville, N.C>, standing second from left, delivered the message, "Christianity's Debt to Judaism." The choir is led by 1st Sgt. Woodrow Smith, Laurel, Miss., standing at extreme right. Standing at left in back row is 1st Lt. Eric C. Farnell, Maynard, Mass., who sang with the Handel and Haydn Society of Boston, Mass. He is the choir's director. Standing third from left is Jewish layman chaplain Cpl. Daniel Kaplan, Springfield, mass., and at right of altar is Cpl. Maurice Goldfield, Chelsea, Mass., cantor, followed by Sgt. Robert Gilbert, Allentown, Pa., organist, and Cpl.
