Why Nature of Professional Relationships Matter: the Resources Scientists Acquire From Their Personal Networks

Atlanta Conference on Science and Innovation Policy 2011This study models personal professional networks of academic scientists as comprised of multiplex relationships. It argues that relational multiplexity affects intensity of the knowledge exchange and resource flow.
