Peri-urbanization in Romania is rather recent and it deserves a deeper study. The fall of the communist regime in December 1989 brings a liberation of the energies in all the domains, in particular in the real estate and the mobilities. It is about a phenomenon that marks Bucharest and the urban and rural localities, which surround it: the first one, the second even the third crown of municipalities. The signs of the peri-urbanization, whether it is in "oily mark", in "tentacles" or in "sprawl", can be observed for a decade at first in the North and the West of the capital, both being well enough served in highways.
