: Szondi après Lukács

International audienceThis paper deals with Szondi's idea of understand history in the works and not only works in the history. The historization of genres goes further as it was the case in Hegel. Looking at Szondi's first book, the Theory of modern drama (1956), it will be shown how close it is to Lukács' first book, the Development of modern drama (1909, Hungarian). Szondi's own way of challenging this question goes toward a deeper temporalization of forms by dealing with the concept of tragic (Essay on tragic, 1961), but even there, he remains in the footsteps of Lukács, who sketched a "Metaphysic of tragedy" before he wrote his master work, the Theory of the Novel (1916). In this last work, one of the bases of Szondi's Interpretation of modern literature, Lukács sees the novel as the adequate form for individuals moving in the time. The temporal dialectic of form alternates then by Szondi with the hermeneutical approach of texts in his own specific way.L'article pose la question du concept central de la critique szondienne : appréhender l'histoire dans l'œuvre et non seulement l'œuvre dans l'histoire. Il discute le statut de reprise de l'historisation des formes et des genres littéraires accompli par l'esthétique de Hegel dans les premiers livres de Szondi, la Théorie du drame moderne (1956) et l'Essai sur le tragique (1961). On montre que l'approfondissement de l'historisation doit beaucoup au travail du jeune Lukács entre son Développement du drame moderne (1909), sa " métaphysique de la tragédie " (1910) et sa Théorie du roman (1916), qui a entrepris une critique de la forme abstraite pour faire place à la temporalité singulière de la durée. Szondi s'inspire de ces travaux et les prolonge à sa façon. Il conduit la particularisation des catégories dans l'œuvre jusqu'à la fragmentation, sans renoncer à l'horizon d'intelligibilité promis par le geste hégélien. Le croisement des inspirations dialectique et herméneutique (Hegel et Schleiermacher ou Lukács et Adorno) produit une alternance des priorités, caractéristique de la tension qui l'habite
