Les héros fondateurs de Rome, entre texte et image à l'époque romaine

Between text and image : the founding heroes in roman time The Aeneid holds a special place among the many stories built around the mythical origins of Rome, because of its influence on the literary and cultural life in the Augustan period and during the later reigns. But did the Virgilian epic had an influence on the iconography of heroic figures of the founders ? We can provide some answers considering this corpus on a diachronic perspective and by evaluating the possible influence - or the absence of influence -of the texts about the Primordia Vrbis in general, and of the Aeneid especially, on figural representations.Parmi les multiples récits construits autour des origines mythiques de Rome, l'Enéide occupe une place à part, en raison de son rayonnement sur la vie littéraire et culturelle à l'époque augustéenne et au cours des règnes postérieurs. Mais l'épopée virgilienne a-t-elle eu une influence sur la représentation iconographique des figures héroïques des fondateurs ? On peut apporter des éléments de réponse en considérant le corpus en diachronie et en évaluant l'influence éventuelle - ou en constatant l'absence d'influence - sur le corpus iconographique des récits des primordia Vrbis en général, et de l'Enéide en particulie
