These data include comprehensive biostratigraphy charts and data sets of calcareous nannofossils, foraminifers and radiolarians built and interpreted to characterize the geologic age and depositional environment of the Paleocene Eocene Thermal Maximum (PETM) event in the Gulf of Mexico. Paleontology data for each of these wells is publicly available through one of the identified databases (URL's provided below). Data used in this study include calcareous nannofossils, foraminifers and radiolarians. The data sets are separate for each microfossil group, except foraminifers and radiolarians are compiled together.
