Serotonin syndrome is a potentially life-threatening syndrome associated with drug-induced changes in serotonin receptor sensitivities in the central nervous system. Mental status changes, neuromuscular hyperactivity, and autonomic dysfunction characterize the syndrome and can range from benign to lethal.
